Reiki Training

Open Heart Energy offers training in Reiki I, II, and III (Master and Master/Teacher) levels, as well as a variety of other healing modalities. Training is offered several times per year and is open to those that wish to offer Reiki professionally, or just to friends, family, and themselves.

We don’t compress everything into a single day. We relay the authentic history of this healing modality without the myths that were inserted into it over the years.

Instead, you receive pure, grounded, heart-centered training that prepares you to actually practice Reiki when you leave class.

What Makes Our Training Different

You receive four traditional attunements, each given with sufficient time in between so your body, mind, and energy field can integrate the shifts. This is how Mrs. Takata taught, in a rhythm that honors the student’s process.

Reiki’s story has been retold, embellished, and mythologized countless times.
We teach the documented, factual history so you understand where Reiki truly comes from and how it evolved from Usui → Hayashi → Takata → the West.

The training is provided in-person. No online course can deliver the subtleties and energy required to become a Reiki practitioner. You’ll be trained by two experienced Reiki Master/Teachers with a direct lineage to Master Usui, the founder of Reiki.

About Reiki and Providing Reiki Sessions

• The Reiki trainings are led by both Ronen and Megan, certified attuned Reiki Master/Teachers with direct lineage to Master Usui, the Reiki founder. Being attuned to Reiki means tapping into the energy flow that is all around us. Some call this energy Life Force, others call it Universal Energy. Either way, it is subtle energy that is in all matter, and can be funneled and directed to specific areas. Reiki is most commonly used for relaxation, healing, and affirmation of intentions.

• Reiki, as a form of alternative healing, began in Japan in 1922. It was discovered and developed by a Buddhist named Mikao Usui. The technique itself is non-denominational in that it is not affiliated with any religion. While originating at the Land of the Rising Sun, Reiki spread all over the world, and was adopted into a multitude of cultural traditions. To date, it is practiced by millions of people worldwide.

• Reiki practitioners facilitate this healing modality by hovering, or placing their hands directly on the recipient at specific positions along the body, front and back. The client remains fully clothed and can even be covered with a blanket as they rest on the treatment table. The energy transferred by the facilitator is very nourishing, relaxing and healing. By its nature, Reiki cannot harm, it can only do good. We are certified Reiki Master/Teachers and are seasoned facilitators who has provided Reiki in well over a thousand sessions. Ronen has been training Reiki practitioners of all levels, and appreciates the opportunity to continue passing on this gentle, yet powerful healing tradition.

• Reiki can be applied to people, pets and even plants.

• Instruction on Remote Reiki (aka Distance Reiki) is provided in Level II training. Since Reiki is the channeling of Universal Energy, Remote Reiki works in much the same manner as an in-person, hands on Reiki session. The only difference is that the recipient is not in the same location as the facilitator. This practice is handy when the recipient cannot travel to the practitioner’s location, either due to physical constraints, illness, or any other considerations.

Reiki Training Weekend

Day one of training is is a full day class. Day two, you should plan to leave mid-afternoon. All classes are on a Saturday-Sunday. Please view the current training schedule to the left for specific dates.

You will receive four sacred attunements during Reiki I training over the course of two days. These take time to integrate, so each is spaced accordingly throughout the weekend. Some Reiki teachers attempt to squeeze them all into one day, which is not how it’s traditionally done, and is not recommended.

Registering for Reiki Training

If you are new to Open Heart Energy, it’s suggested but not required that you first schedule a Reiki session with one of us so that you can experience first-hand the manner in which we facilitate Reiki. While not a requirement for attending training, it is recommended.

Please note:

• Reiki I is a prerequisite for Reiki II.
  Similarly, Reiki II is a prerequisite for Reiki III (Master or Master/Teacher.)

• Those who took Reiki I elsewhere can still attend Reiki II training at Open Heart Energy as long as they received attunements in the correct manner. Please inquire with us to confirm.

• If you took Reiki II elsewhere and wish to attend a Reiki Master or Reiki Master/Teacher training at Open Heart Energy, pease inquire with us to confirm.

• We do not provide attunements to people who took a Reiki course online and are just seeking attunements. We deeply honor the Ususi Reiki tradition and wish to have facilitators trained by us receive in-person, high-quality training.

• It is highly recommended to have several months during between Reiki I and Reiki II, and Reiki II and Reiki III trainings.

Cancellation Policy
Full refund of the deposit will be issued if Open Heart Energy is notified in writing up to 30 days ahead of the training dates. No refund if under 30 days as the space that was reserved cannot be filled on this short of notice.
